Snails Modicum
I'm pretty happy with how these turned out, considering I haven't sprited anything since I was like 10!
A sketch of Hela, the Norse goddess of death, and all the canines associated with her: Garmr, her guard dog; Fenrisulfr, her brother; and Narfi, her half-brother. Wow, it's been a while since I drew Norse myth characters, hasn't it?
(I've always pictured Garmr as a Rottweiler for some reason. Don't ask why.)
In other news: we are done with moving out now, which means I'll have time to draw Falchron again! I'll try to get a page out next Friday, although no promises--I haven't even figured out sleeping at a consistent time yet, so it's possible I won't be able to get into the swing of doing scheduled, non-packing things right away. And I still need to do layouts for the next few pages, and probably re-familiarize myself with the style after not drawing ponies for a few weeks.
(Seriously on the sleep thing. Since we left I've gone to bed at 1pm (after packing all night and driving all morning), 6pm, and now it's looking like it's gonna be 4am. I think I drove myself to exhaustion so many days in a row that my body hardly even registers regular everyday tiredness anymore.)
Inktober day 22
Prompts: ghost, from the official list, and beast, from the Cosmere list. The shadowy dog one of my D&D parties tamed and adopted.
Inktober day...17?
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We've been traveling, and I'm not quite brave enough to try to ink something in a moving car, let alone in the dark while trying to calm an angry cat.
Prompt: swollen (although the drawing is really only tangentially related)
The akhlut is a creature from Inuit mythology. It's a shapeshifter, capable of taking the form of a wolf or an orca. I love these things.
I considered doing an ahklut for the prompt whale, but the bake-kujira won out for that one, so I used it for this prompt instead.

Inktober day 6
A bit late, oops.
Prompt: drooling
Was planning to draw Cerberus, but I can never get his heads to look right, so I reused the body for a similar but easier to draw mythological figure: Garmr, the guard dog of Helheim in Norse mythology. He's a Rottweiler in my head for some reason. I guess he should probably be more menacing, given his role, but I didn't feel like drawing that.

Loki's Family
And yes, if you're wondering, Nari and Angrboda are ghosts and most of Loki's kids are animals. It's mythology, what can I say?
Loki's Children
Not sure I'm entirely happy with the shading on this, but oh well. These three are the children of Loki and the giantess Angrboda in Norse mythology; Hela, (front) is the Goddess of Death, Fenrir (middle) is destined to kill Odin at Ragnarok, and Jormungandr (back) is the Midgard Serpent and the prophesied killer of Thor.
