Taking a short break from canon IceWings to sketch some Avengers characters as dragons, since we just watched WandaVision and are about to watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier so I'm hyped about that universe right now. 

Captain America's a SkyWing with IceWing blood, Bucky's a pure IceWing, Falcon's a SkyWing, Black Widow's a SandWing, the Maximoff twins are SkyWing/IceWing hybrids, and Vision's a robot.

Peril

New and improved Peril design. I think I've finally found a balance I like between "copper" and "on fire"!

...Y'know, I bet Peril glows in the dark.

Ibex of the SkyWings

I've been drawing a lot of Operastalker lately, so I figured it might be nice to shake things up and draw a WoF tribe other than SeaWings or NightWings. Featuring my favorite SkyWing design I've done and the dragon it goes to, who I should really change the personality of because he is much too obnoxious to look that cool.

I haven't thought about this setting for a while, so we'll see if I remember any of the details. Rambling under the cut.

Alwin

I drew this lovely Mud/Sky/Hive hybrid for Skyla the Skywing on the WoF wiki.

Quick drawings of some of my WoF OCs. Ibex, Petrel, Hamerkop, and Fer-de-lance have shown up here before [1, 2], but Alpine, Mesa, and Chrysis haven't. Alpine and Mesa are a detective team in one of my fanfics, and I'm not sure what Chrysis does but he's a very shiny Rain/Hive hybrid named after a kind of wasp.

And now, back to your regularly-scheduled non-creepy fandom content.

Peril, from WoF, both with the colors plain and with a glow effect added. My design is pretty different from both the official art and most fanart, but the books describe her as having copper-colored scales, so that's what I went with. She should be a little more metallic-looking, probably.

Shadow Claws

I did design sketches for some of my WoF OCs a couple weeks ago, and I love how they turned out, so I figured I'd share them. These characters are all part of a secret organization known as the Shadow Claws, dedicated to overthrowing the queens of Pyrrhia. I've tried hard to give them unique, recognizable designs while still making them look like the tribe they belong to.

Note: these were originally all one image that I digitally chopped up, so the spacing is a little weird on some of them.

Fer-de-lance is a SandWing/RainWing hybrid and the leader of the Shadow Claws. She's named for and patterned after a highly venomous Central American pit viper, and she's one of my oldest WoF OCs, dating back to 2014 (although the design is new).

Albacore is a SeaWing and the Shadow Claws' head assassin. His design is based on the albacore tuna, for which he's named, and the nonbreeding plumage of the common murre.

Oribi the SandWing is one of Albacore's apprentices. He's not very well developed. His wings are based on the Montagu's harrier.

Petrel the IceWing is also one of Albacore's apprentices, but she's a little better developed. She's designed after the Cook's petrel, and to a lesser extent the cape petrel, although the latter's influence is hard to see in this picture. Also hard to see here is her broken left horn.

Owl's been featured here before, and her design's pretty much the same. The undersides of her wings weren't visible, though. She's another of Albacore's apprentices, a NightWing/SkyWing hybrid he raised pretty much from hatching.

Ibex the SkyWing is a fairly low-ranking member of the SC. His wings are based on the booted eagle and the rest of his design is based on the Iberian ibex. His wing's not actually tattered, I just didn't color it properly since it was overlapped by Albacore in the full file.

Hamerkop the MudWing is a doctor/scientist for the SC. His design isn't based on any animal in particular--MudWings are described in the books as sometimes having gold underbellies, but I've never seen an OC like that, so I figured I'd make one. He's named after an African waterbird.

And now, some crossover fanart.

Specifically, Captain America and Winter Soldier as WoF-verse dragons. Unlike a lot of the art on here, the pencil drawings for these were inked traditionally before being scanned for digital coloring.

Cap, in this universe, is part IceWing, hence the slightly odd coloring for a SkyWing. Bucky's a fullblooded IceWing. I guess they have clothing, grenades, and cybernetics in this AU.

Another dragon from the Wings of Fire series. This one is a canon character, though: Carnelian of the SkyWings.

Wings of Fire OC: Owl

This is Owl, my NightWing/SkyWing hybrid assassin OC (original character, usually used to mean fanmade character, for those of you who don't speak fandom).
